Glen Foster joins Intuit. Licences or partnership: what does he need to get right?

Glen Foster has joined Intuit to lead the mid-market and partner channel for QuickBooks in the UK, after two years helping build the accounting firm Sleek.

Indi Tatla asks the question: what does Glen need to get right to show accountants that QuickBooks is a true partner? John Toon says that, in his experience, it has always been a sales relationship. How many more licences can we get over the line, and here's a big discount to help. What firms want is someone who understands the practice and how it might grow.

Ryan Pearcy points to the mid-market. QuickBooks Online Advanced is already in the UK, Xero has Ultra, and Intuit Enterprise is US only for now but likely on its way. At that end of the market you need implementation partners as well as referral partners, and that means something closer to community than sales. He hopes some of that love reaches the smaller firms too.
