Indi Tatla likes the cold review challenge, where a firm runs ten jobs it has already signed off through the system and compares the results. A better test than any demo, she says.
John Toon isn't convinced. The demo uses a perfect client, and in his experience the hours go on chasing information and queries rather than producing the accounts. There's no link to HMRC or Companies House either, so you still need something else to file.
Ryan Pearcy's worry is consistency. Firms want everyone working the same way, and even a small practice has its ten per cent of awkward clients. A tool that only handles the simple ninety means running two systems, and that's usually a no.
