Indi Tatla thinks the lever is the document limit. Clients pile up documents over time, so what looks fine today might not in three years, and at the bookkeeping end of the market a price rise is exactly the thing that makes people look elsewhere. She's surprised, given how well Apron has won over bookkeepers, and thinks its card work fits the long-term plan better.
Ryan Pearcy sees it as Apron falling in line with the market. Xero and QuickBooks have made their API charges more volume based, so high volume now means higher cost for the apps too. And he likes that payments and documents stay separate. He likes choice, and he doesn't like being forced into a bundle.
